Your Lovable app lost its data

Records you saw yesterday are gone, or every user sees an empty app. Before anything else: stop making changes, so nothing overwrites what may still be recoverable.

What usually causes it

Data only in the browser

Prototypes often keep data in the browser’s local storage. It lives on one device and disappears when that browser’s data is cleared.

A new database after a regeneration

A rebuilt project can point at a fresh, empty database while the old one still has your data.

Migrations or seed scripts that reset tables

A script meant for setting up an empty database drops or truncates tables when it runs again.

What to check yourself

  1. Don’t re-run migrations or regenerate the app until you know the cause.
  2. Check which database your live app connects to (Supabase), and whether an older project still has the data.
  3. Check whether your database plan keeps backups, and how far back they go.

What the free scan looks at

The scan reads your code to see what it is made of, including the database tables it defines, looks for exposed keys and checks the live site. It is a starting point: tracing lost data needs an engineer, which is what App Rescue is for.

If you’d rather we fix it

App Rescue starts with a backup of what is there now, finds the cause, restores from a backup where one exists, and changes the app so it can’t happen again. We can’t promise to recover data that no backup holds, and we say so before you pay.

App Rescue, from €299 + VAT for a small app. The scan works out the exact price for yours.
