Your Lovable app won’t deploy
It works in the editor, but the deploy fails, or the site goes up blank. The cause is almost always in the build, and the build log says where.
What usually causes it
Missing environment variables
The editor has your Supabase URL and keys; your host doesn’t. The build fails, or the app loads and can’t reach its data.
A lockfile out of step with package.json
A clean install on the host picks different versions from the ones the editor used, and something breaks.
Type errors the preview let through
The live preview is forgiving; a production build with type checks is not.
Hosting settings
The wrong build command, output folder or Node version for a Vite app, or routes that 404 on refresh without a rewrite rule.
What to check yourself
- Run a clean install and the build on your machine (npm ci, then npm run build) and read the first error, not the last.
- Compare the environment variables in your host’s settings with the ones your code reads.
- Check the host builds with npm run build and serves the dist folder.
What the free scan looks at
The scan installs your app and runs its build and tests in a disposable sandbox, and shows which step fails: install, build or tests.
If you’d rather we fix it
App Rescue: we reproduce the failure in a sandbox, fix it on a branch of our own, add a test that proves it, and open a pull request. Backup first, and eligible fixes are fixed or refunded.
App Rescue, from €299 + VAT for a small app. The scan works out the exact price for yours.
